These are the official logos of HWMCO-Nederland and NiCA Foundation and what they all express.

The different colored hands symbolize the cooperation between the Netherlands and Uganda, while the bright blue butterfly represents the beautiful results of that cooperation. Around the world people view the butterfly as representing change, transformation, development, which is what we try to bring.

Uganda is known in the world as the ‘Pearl of Africa’ because of its breathtakingly beautiful nature, which is expressed in the green leaves seen in the upper half of the logo, and also in the surrounding circle. The brown color from the circle represents the color of Mother Earth and it symbolizes success and stability.

Last but not least our logo also shows water, which is the source of life. Unfortunately though, especially the people in the rural areas of Uganda do not have safe water available as a matter of course, which makes that it deserves our attention.

We want to thank Rafael Swevels from the Netherlands for his help in this. Thank you for your generosity and your amazing creativity!
