Also this year, Dutch Foundation Trap-In Uden has selected HWMCO-Nederland as one of the charity foundations that can count on their financial support.
Since 1974, Foundation Trap-In organizes a 50 km sponsored bicycle tour on the second day of Pentecost with proceeds of that being divided among a number of pre-selected Third World Projects (15 in 2022).
Although the bicycle tour itself had to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid measures, the foundation has in those years, thanks to amazing support of companies that wanted to support the third world projects, still managed to gather a considerable part of the proceeds! Our foundation was also in those years selected for support and has therefore received a share.
From the in 2020 received amount the major part of the rainwater collection system we built at Burimba Primary School could be financed; the in 2021 received amount was used to partly finance the rainwater collection system at Kasinde Primary School as well as to provide emergency food to the poorest at Lake Bunyonyi during the second lockdown in Uganda.
Recently, on the second day of Pentecost (6. June), the bicycle tour has again taken place and we have been assisting along the route.
Total proceeds of this years event will be announced in some weeks and will by us as always be used to achieve one or more of our charity goals.
The joint team of HWMCO-Nederland & NiCA Foundation thanks Foundation Trap-In Uden for selecting us also in 2022!
