Students_Stiftsgymnasium MelkRecently, we received the wonderful the message that a young Austrian student, named Noah Schagerl, had together with his classmates succeeded in raising the wonderful amount of €400,- to benefit Happy’s activities!

Noah is a student at “Stiftsgymnasium Melk”, which is a very special high school (gymnasium) in Austria because it is housed in the abbey of the city of Melk, which is called “Stift Melk”. Stiftsgymnasium Melk is a catholic private school. Already founded in the year 1140, it belongs to the oldest private schools from Austria. With currently more than 900 students visiting the school, it serves as an important educational and intellectual centre of the region.

Noah and his classmates had raised the money by organizing a “candy market” for all students and teachers of their school, where they sold many by themselves prepared cakes and breads. All the money was donated as a contribution to help build a better future for the children.

The received money enables Happy to purchase some much desired materials to use during activities, most importantly being one or more traditional drums for that are useful in teaching the children how to compose, sing, and perform cultural music and dances.

We want to send a big thank you to Noah Schagerl, his classmates, their supportive teacher Julia Unterlaggauer, as well as to all students and teachers from Stiftsgymnasium Melk who made this wonderful donation possible!

It’s our hope that this so beautiful initiative will be an inspiration for other schools and/or organizations….
